An 8-week, 190-hour training in ionic footbath hydrotherapy: client screening, setup, supervision, the full 1- to 2-hour Therapeutic Support Session, foot and hand massage, aftercare, and scope of practice. Graduates earn the Certified Ionic Hydrotherapy Technician credential. Full (program description) The Ionic Hydrotherapy Training Intensive & Certification prepares you to offer ionic footbath and hand-bath sessions professionally, safely, and with confidence. Over eight weeks (190 hours, about 24 hours a week) you will learn the anatomy and physiology behind every safety rule; how to screen and prepare clients, including hand application for those who cannot use their feet; how to set up the unit, supervise a session continuously, and respond to emergencies; and how to deliver the full one- to two-hour Therapeutic Support Session, from consultation and the bath through seated rest, foot or hand massage or reflexology-style massage, aftercare, and follow-up. You will also learn the extended continuous bath of one to two hours, a format Dr. Muhammad has used in her own practice for over 25 years, and how to speak to clients accurately about what the modality does within a clearly defined scope of practice. The program is delivered in four two-week units, with online lessons, interactive knowledge drills, a supervised practicum of 20 logged sessions, a reflective journal, and a Practice Portfolio capstone that becomes your working toolkit: intake and consent forms, aftercare handout, booking descriptions, and protocol cards. Certification requires the practicum, the portfolio, a written examination, an oral case review, and a current first-aid/CPR certificate. On completion you are certified as a Certified Ionic Hydrotherapy Technician by A Phoenix Rising Wellness Institute, Inc. Tuition is $997 CAD with an Ionic Hydrotherapy Machine, or $597 CAD for students who already own a unit. Instructor: Dr. Tisa Muhammad, DNM®, C.C.Ir.®.
